Lost blog!?!?!?

  • I went to:

    Settings > General Settings

    and proceeded to change both the “WordPress address (URL)” and “Blog address (URL)” thinking it would just re-direct to my domain’s homepage.

    It didn’t. Now both sites show my default index page and even though I delete them from my system, there is no blog showing at all. Is all my work gone?

  • change back the settings to what they were before.

    I have recently tried to upgrade my wordpress version.
    The upgrade for some reason failed.
    I therefore re-installed my backup file and database.
    First of all I saved the original database then dropped it and did a re-install which worked OK.
    When I now try to access my blog I receive the following message:
    Warning: main(/home/roymille/public_html/wp-includes/classes.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/roymille/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 8
    I have checked the config.php file and it seems Ok.
    Spent most of this weekend trying to resolve.
    Any ideas where I have gone wrong would be appreciated.

    public_html/wp-includes/classes.php
    That file is missing – that’s what the error message says.

    Moshu, probably one for you…

    My blog files are under my own website filed under ‘http docs’, I can see the admin, content and all other files etc.

    I can also access the admin page and post content (its my first blog for a newbie !) by going into the wp-admin via ‘https://www.mydealexchange.biz/Blog/wp-admin/index.php’

    The blog url is https://www.mydealexchange.biz/Blog but when you click this is always goes to my website home page https://www.mydealexchange.biz/en/

    I have followed other posts about going into phpadmin and making sure the urls are correct.

    Any ideas ??
