    I recently downloaded the WordPress app and connected my self hosted .org site to .com using Jetpack. Unfortunately, I have lost admin access to customize, edit, or create any posts via desktop through www.remarpro.com and am not able to log-in to .com through Desktop.

    Please advise

    Yes, that is where I am logging in and it takes me to the profile page which only shows dashboard, Jetpack and Profile on the left column menu. All other items are gone.

    Using ftp or the file manager provided by your host rename the plugins folder plugins_old

    Do you have access to the database?

    At this time, I am receiving the message “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” when I try to get into WordPress.com and make any edits

    There are also several plugin folders and I am not sure which to rename

    There should be only 1 plugins folder in wp-content.

    I try to get into WordPress.com

    What kind of edits are you trying to make?

    Do you have access to the database? If so go to the user meta table and look for usemeta table. Under capabilities the meta value should be
    a:1:{s:13:"administrator";b:1;}

    GET A DB BACKUP BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES.

    I cannot do anything on the actual site itself, FemmenineNY.com. I cannot make any edits, create any posts, etc. I can only do so on the old blog femmenineny.wordpress.com (which I can log into). Where do I find the data base?

    I also found the plugin folder but it does not allow me to change the name.

    I also tried to disconnect Jetpack. Everything was fine before I connected the old blog to the new one using Jetpack but that didnt help.

    The db should be in the folder where wp is on the server provided by your host.

    femmenineny.wordpress.com (which I can log into).

    Check this. Login, go to the dashboard. Can you click on all users?

    Issue resolved. Somehow multiple accounts were created and the admin access was switched.
