• I was working away and went to access my blog at https://www.virgilrcook.com. I get my blog but the theme seems to be missing and I cannot access wp-admin to make any changes. When I try to access wp-admin with this link https://www.virgilrcook.com/wp-admin, I get this message:

Sorry, we can’t find “www.virgilrcook.traffictreasury1com”. We suggest that you check the spelling of the web address or search above.

Now my actual complete URL is https://www.virgilrcook.traffictreasury1.com. It does not seem to matter which way I put in the correct URL, I still get the same message as above and no access to my admin page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can get back on my blog.

Looks like you need to upload your stylesheet again

Where do I find my stylesheet? If I can find that I do know how to upload it. The link you had there sends me to the exact same message as before.
    I appreciate your help jessn.

Your style.css file goes in the /wp-content/themes/ then whatever folder your theme is located in.

Thank you, I will give it a try…

Urgh, it is that missing dot in your web address that’s causing the problem.

Check your Settings > General and then website address.

The link takes me to a log-in page. And yeah, I wondered about that dot. If you can get logged back in do what alism suggested and check your blog address in Settings.

That is the problem but I cannot get back into wp-admin…

When you click the link I gave you do you see the login box? I can…

Either that or you can go into the database and change the url from there. If you know how to get into phpmyadmin, then click on the database name at the top left. That will populate a list of tables down the left hand side. Click on “options”. Then press the “browse” tab in the top left. You should be able to see the blog address on one of the first lines and you can edit it from there.

I can see the login box and when I login it takes me to the same error link.

I am not exactly sure where to find phpmyadmin…

Who is your hosting company? Do you have a backend control panel for your hosting account?

    Hostgator. Cpanelx

Ok cool. So inside of cPanel, down more towards the bottom, there’s a row with mysql icons and there should be one called phpmyadmin. If you click that it will open a new window with a skinny left sidebar and a large right content area. On the left sidebar towards the top it will list as links the names of your existing databases. If only have one listed that will be your wordpress database. Click that.

Then it will load the left sidebar will a list of links which are the names of your existing database tables. Click on wp_options and it will load the right hand side with informatin.

Then look to the top left of the right hand section and you’ll see a tab called “browse”. Click that.

You should see a table with the very first line reading “siteurl” followed by the url address. Click on the pencil icon to edit it.
