• Hi, after a long time I decided to properly set up my website.
When I type in my URL (www.nomadinca.com) all I get is an error message as below:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /hermes/walnaweb01a/b2123/pow.privatetradealerts/domains/nomadinca_com/wp-admin/admin.php on line 348

I cannot reach my wp-admin site and my dashboard to do anything at the moment. My old Coda connection with the server is also disconnected and gives “incorrect login” message when I try to connect.
I reiterate that it’s been months since I last touched this site and I do not even remember my WordPress version.

I cannot find any details of my server connection information.
What are my options to get my website back?
I have not developed it too much, so I will not cry too hard if I have to start all over again.

Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

If that makes no difference, try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

thanks for this. I will try your suggestions.

Do you know where can I find the files that I am to delete and replace?
I am not too proficient on wordpress and it’s been so long since I looked at it that I cannot find the local files of my website to do the replacement you suggest.

I tried accessing my server through FTP, but got incorrect login. I will try to get help from the guy who set up my page on his server. Perhaps it has something to with that too.

You won’t find the files to replace locally. WordPress is installed on your hosting provider, not your computer, so you’ll need to sort out FTP access to get to them.
