Lost access to domain, how to access site admin?

  • I no longer have access to a domain one of my multisites used to be mapped to. I can FTP to it but cannot load wp-admin. I want to use the site as an example but can’t get access. I have tried a few things like
    1.changing the site url in the network site edit,
    2.search and replacing the old domain url to replace with a new one (old.com to new.bell-computing.com like my other nonmapped sites)
    3.adding update_option(‘siteurl’,’https://new.bell-computing.com’);
    update_option(‘home’,’new.bell-computing.com’); to the sites childtheme functions.php

    Nothing works (nb not done the ssl change yet)

  • Can you ask your web host for assistance? If not, you’ll need to edit the database and change the site and home URLs in the options table which should let you point the site to a different URL.
