Lost access in trying to move wp site to root

Hi,

I created a lovely new site at https://andrewhugill.com/wpsite then wanted to move it to the root directory to replace my old site (which you can still see at https://andrewhugill.com ).

However, the server threw up an error. Then, when I checked, I found that https://andrewhugill.com/wpsite is not displaying at all correctly and I can no longer log into wordpress or my dashboard to try to fix things.

When I look in the directory on the server, all the wordpress files, including the responsive theme files, seem to be there ok. I must have deleted something crucial somewhere, but I’m not sure what!

Can anyone help, please?
