Lost a recent blog post, and it's not in my trash? HELP!!

I wrote a post about a week ago, and I *thought* I published it. However, when I went to add an image to it today, it wasn’t in my list of posts.

“No problem,” thought I. I checked my drafts. Not there either.

Panic begins to creep in. “Maybe it’s in my trash?” Nope. In fact, NOTHING’S in my trash. Which is odd, since I trashed two posts a few weeks ago. My whole trash folder is empty.

I am full-on freaking out now. This is 2,000 words gone missing, and I need to find it ASAP.

Any idea what may have happened, and where I can find it? Shouldn’t it at least be saved as a draft, since WordPress does an autosave like every 2 minutes?

ACK! Please, please, please help me figure out where this is? I am sinking into despair over here in the Pittsburgh area….
