I keep loosing sale price data (sporadically) and Sku# get changed on products that have variations (also sporadically).
This past week I needed to update a few prices due to drop shipper pricing changes. During this update I found several occurrences of the “sale price” missing and some variation Sku# were changed to the Sku# of the product header.
Each time I need to do a 100% audit on 3000+ items to get all the errors corrected, each time cost me about 4 days work. It has happened 4 times.
Any idea what I a doing wrong?

In regard to this issue, I finished a 100% audit of prices and sku’s on
3/8. Today I did a review and found several pages of product categories that have lost the SALE PRICE and variations have reverted to the HEADER SKU#.

I am going to leave the first product with variations on page one of Product Manager alone so you can see the issue. That would be SKU# “TR842P”. This product should have the following data:
For the “small” size for all colors in the description: SKU TR842P, sale price $152.94(the header sku)
The “large” size for all colors in the description: SKU TR843P, sale price $242.37.

I have set up an admin account for you.

    User: SmartManager
    Password: baseball

I must do the corrections on all the rest AGAIN in case some one places an order.

I think I may have found the event that causes my product data to be changed.
I just spent some time refining my “category” descriptions to better define the category content. I added new categories and then moved some products from the old category to the new category on the “product” page.

when I went back to Product Manager I found that many of the products I have moved from one category to another had lost their “SALE PRICE” and the Sku# for VARIATIONS was changed to the Sku# of the main product.

It appears the problem occurs when products are moved from one category to another.
