• One question.
Where are my customized theme files located in the FTP?

I backed up everything before deleting the theme and now when re-uploading to a different web address all of my customizations that took a very long time and are descriptive are gone.

Please help. I cannot remember all if any of the custom content that I wrote.

  • Don’t know what to answer.. customized files.. if you used a child theme are in the child theme dir.
If you’re talking about “contents” then those are in the db.

db? I am talking about the pictures i used for the sliders, the logos, and all the custom content written on each page.

If you could help me find these files it would save me a lot of time and effort!

    Thank you

Just to clarify, are you talking about the content of your website: blog posts, pictures, etc., or are you talking about any customizations to your website made via CSS?

    That’s the problem.
    Uploaded files are in wp-content/uploads
But “contents”, like text in the page, sliders, posts are in the db.

im looking for text added to pages and sliders, and additional pages i made. Are these able to be recovered?

Those informations are in the db. This is how wordpress (a cms in general) works.
And of course are able to be recovered… from the db, exported and imported.

Where exactly in the db are these located? If I removed all files from the theme via ftp are they able to be retrieved on a new web address?

I feel like all three of us might be talking about different things. I would recommend reading Moving WordPress and seeing if anything there is relevant to your situation.
