    Hi there,

I really like how light this theme is and yet how much it still has! I’m wondering, though, if you might know why I’m having trouble with paragraph tags disappearing or not getting inserted properly using the Visual editor.

    Hi Paul,

If you enter html into the editor whilst on the Text tab, and then swtich back to the Visual tab, some of your html (like paragraph tags) will be stripped. WordPress, by default, will add paragraph tags around your content when it displays it on the front end.

If you specifically want to save the html you enter whilst on the Text tab, then save your page before switching back to the Visual tab.

    This is default WordPress behaviour.

Sure, I’m aware of the default behavior, but I am wondering how it actually works. My issue turned out to be a problem with the Super Slider plugin, which seems completely odd that if would be affecting publishing posts and pages when it only shows on the homepage. I just can’t wrap my head around why that would be happening! Any thoughts?

There were a few minor instances where WordPress 4.0.1 broke some plugins that were using Shortcodes that weren’t coded correctly. If this is just a recent thing that’s happened then it possibly could be related to that. It might’ve been interpreting some of your html as shortcodes. Just a guess.
