Losing file permissions, can’t upgrade plugin/core

  • Hello,

    I’m having issues with file permissions. The user on the server isn’t the owner of the wordpress files and I can’t change the file permissions via FTP.
    Each time, I have to change the permissions using SSH and then update wordpress.
    How can I definitively prevent this problem from occuring ?

    Any help welcome !

    Please make sure that you have installed any plugins and script into your domain/blog which is compatible wo your wordpress version. If it is not then it may cause this kind of problem.

    So please upgrade all the installed plugins and wordpress version.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your answer however I actually can’t upgrade anything unless I do the little trick described in my initial post. The problem isn’t new so I don’t think there is a link with the plugin version.

    Any toughts ?
