Looping while setup plugin
-
I had installed and activated Sitekit
I am looping in
“The Site Kit plugin is active but requires setup.
Site Kit Service will guide you through 3 simple setup steps.”Any attempt to sign in and walk through the sign in steps takes me right back to the dash board with the same message. I tried to uninstall and reinstall plugin and got the same
Please advise

@ahmedlatif Sorry to hear you’ve been encountering issues during setup. There are some troubleshooting steps on the plugins website which you can try if not already attempted. In your case please attempt setup from a browser incognito window or with another device (as local or browser related software may be impacting setup).
If the issue remains please share your URL and Site Health information and we can whether we can identify any aspect of your site which may be impacting setup.
Thanks @jamesosborne for reply, already I tried from different browsers and PCs and got the same
Thanks in advancehttps://celestedevelopment.com/

@ahmedlatif Thanks for the update. There are a number of plugins which could possibly be impacting setup, including multiple redirection plugins, caching & optimisation plugins and plugins that use Google API Client libraries.
Before troubleshooting any plugins were you able to connect Site Kit previously, or do you have any other sites on the same hosting platform which you were able to setup Site Kit successfully with?
@jamesosborne Thanks,
Yes I installed it and it was working fine, but suddenly it stopped reading and retrieving any date, I uninstalled it and reinstall it again but stuck now in this loopThanks
@ahmedlatif Thanks for the update. As you’re using multiple caching plugins can you attempt the following and inform me if setup succeeds?
1. Temporarily deactivate any caching and optimisation plugins (along with Cloudflare)
2. Remove your existing Tag Manager implementation on your site (It looks like a manual insertion, with the code possible inserted into your theme files or a “Headers & Footers” plugin
3. Attempt setup once more using an incognito windowIf that fails please share an update Site Health information report, along with your current hosting provider. We can then try reproduce the same issue from our side.
Hello,
I did all mentions steps
1- deactivate all cash plugins one by one
2- removed manual tag manager code
3- used another browser, PC and incognitoUnfortunately the same issue still excite
Thanks
@ahmedlatif thanks for the update. There is a known issue that the Really Simple SSL plugin can prevent updates on the Site Kit service and cause looping in the setup process.
Could you try the steps below and let us know if you are able to complete the process:
1) Temporarily deactivate Really Simple SSL
2) Go to Settings > General and manually update your WordPress Address and Site Address tohttps://
(if already set switch tohttps://
then back tohttps://
again).
3) Log out and log back in to your WordPress admin (logging out may happen automatically).
4) Reactivate Really Simple SSL
5) Proceed with the Site Kit setup processThanks @reneesoffice for reply,
I am afraid that it will affect my website because it take too much time to configure and fixing issues when instilled this plugin.
Wondering the possibility of solving this issue in next plugin update?
Thanks@ahmedlatif Understood if you prefer not to make the changes. In these rare cases a combination of plugins can result in your sites HTTPS status differing on the Site Kit service.
As we’re currently investigating this known issue I can’t give a guaranteed timeline on a solution, or state whether there is a fix that can be applied from our side.
If you like we can keep this support topic open while informing you of any updates. Alternatively if you’d like to apply the suggested workaround and run into any difficulty let us know and we’d be happy to help.
The issue fixed, I didn’t anything! I just test to set up again and it worked fine!
Anyway, Thanks for your support ??
@ahmedlatif Thanks for the update. That’s great that it’s working for you, if only all fixes were that easy!
Out of curiousity did you make any changes or perform any updates with other plugins?
