What can I do to keep the firewall up but get the loopback requests to keep working?

  • Hi @natedanielz,

Perhaps you added a Firewall rule that conflicts with loopback requests. If so, simply remove or modify the conflicting rule.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have no firewall rules in place.

    Hi @natedanielz,

What makes you think the loopback requests are failing because of the Solid Security Firewall feature when there are no rules in place?

Because when I turn it off it works

How do you turn it off? Deactivating the SolSec plugin?

    In Settings > Features

Hmm, you’re not making this easy for me … (or anyone else following this topic).

In Settings > Features > Firewall there are 4 features (Ban Users, Firewall Rules Engine, Local Brute Force and Network Brute Force). Which one do you disable? And which of the other 3 are then still enabled?

Hi @natedanielz, I’m checking in to see if you’re all set.

While it’s unclear which feature was causing the loopback requests to fail on your site, you can try unchecking the “Default Ban List” setting in Security > Settings > Features > Firewall > Ban Users to see if that helps.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try
