• Support,

Download Manager appears to be causing loopback errors on my site.
The site health status indicates the following:

Loopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability.

The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
    Error: Too many redirects (http_request_failed)

When, I disable Download Manager plugin, the site passes all health checks.
Running WordPress 5.5.3 with Download Manager 3.1.15.

Suggestions on how I can resolve this?

  • Hi,
We couldn’t find any loopback error with the latest version of WordPress and WPDM
    Thanks.

Unfortunately after the latest update on 03/23 it is still not working correctly with version 3.1.16 on WordPress 5.5.3. I have deactivated it, the loopback error is now gone, and I have to find another download manager.

I cannot upgrade to WP 5.7 because of other plugins only good up to WP 5.6.2. I might give it another chance when I can upgrade to 5.7.
