Looking to use google analytics. Do I need a premium Account?

I’m very new at this, and creating a site to use for google analytics. I’m a recent graduate trying to improve my resume. Being a recent graduate, I’m looking to spend as little money as possible. I kind of ran into a brick wall when I tried to insert the code for tracking.

I’m assuming I need a premium account to do so. Could anyone tell me if this is true and/or what is the cheapest account I can upgrade to in order to insert my tracking code from Google Analytics.
