• Less than an hour to go until I turn 34 here in Japan and the new version of WordPress will be here as well soon ^^ It almost feels like a birthday present. Can’t wait to try it out.

Just a birthday request ?? Could you make it so the gallery images can link to anything we like? I figured out a way to do it but it would be heaps better just having it as a standard feature in WordPress. I use the gallery as navigation on my website and it is so cool being able to do that. Everything lines up so easily and it is easy to change the amount images in a row or sort the images.

If you wanna have a look at the URL linking gallery I made you can see it here (https://a4jp.com/gallery777)

This is a Japanese site and written in Japanese so I’m not really worried about how many people can read what the site says but I love getting useful feedback on the design and other things. It should work on a PC, tablet or mobile phone. I just made the site for the clients I have. It’s not really designed to attract lots of new people. but in the long term it will be to help designers get together and talk later on.

It’s too late to get any new features added to WordPress 3.5. The feature freeze began weeks ago.

The next version is okay, if it is possible. I just think lots of people would love to be able to link to URLs/pages with the gallery settings.

I haven’t seen what has happened to the gallery in the next version yet but everything sounds really good. I’m just hoping I don’t have to do too much reprogramming. Thanks again for everything WordPress and all the programmers ^^

How’d you do it? ?? If you have the code in a plugin, that would be a great start.
