I am trying to include some things on my site and think I need a push in the right direction. I want people to fill out a form on my website, which will then be pending approval and once approved it will be posted in a specific category.

So For example: Someone has an item they want to sell, they will go to my website and fill out the basic questions like: your name, item name, item description, price, etc. and once they submit that I get an email with a link to approve or deny, and if approved then it is posted under the ‘classifieds’ section.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this? I was thinking it was something I may have to do in a loop but didn’t know if someone had other ideas or even plugins with this kind of functionality.

    Thanks for reading!

  • There are various ways of doing this, but the first that comes to mind is to get a license to Gravity Forms plugin. Yes, it costs a little money, but:

    1. It is easy to use and do what you’re wanting here.
    2. Gravity Forms support can help you get over any bumps.
    3. You will save yourself a lot of time by just getting a solution like this that works out of the box.

    Good luck.

Hey Paul, Thanks alot for the input, I have actually used Gravity Forms in the past on a friends site. I know I can create forms and have the form emailed to me but as far as approving and then having it post automatically to a section is where I am getting stuck. Do you think I can accomplish this with Gravity Forms and if so then how? Any help would be much appreciated and I feel like we are on the right track here.

    Thanks again for any help
