    Hello

I am still learning my way around WooCommerse and am open to ideas or direction.
I am thinking my current objective (below) could be approached by using a form plugin such as Gravity Forms or the like. I have not yet purchased any form plugins, as I want to ask questions first and if forms seems to be solution, then I want to be sure I purchase the one that will serve me best.

Seems all form plugins will do calculations, but I am looking for a form that if the calculated value is a quantity of the item viewing, that it will automatically update my current quantity field on the product page.

    Couple scenarios:
#1: Preform calculation utilizing product data ((not required but would be nice) Example: A 6” tile would have a size value, in the product/tile detail, of 6. This 6 would be used in form calculations) The calculations in this scenario would tile size along with user supplied variables to determine the quantity of tiles needed for a project. The quantity results automatically update the displayed WooCommerse quantity field on the product page.

#2: Form would need to have the ability to update the default WooCommerce quantity field on the product page. (Example: I sell t-shirt of various sizes. Customer enters a quantity number for each size. These quantities would then be added together and passed to the default WooCommerce quantity field.)

You can see the obvious t-shirt scenario here: https://www.elsographics.com/product/american-backcountry-vapor-basic-t/ with the size quantity option.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there @elsograph ??

I am looking for a form that if the calculated value is a quantity of the item viewing, that it will automatically update my current quantity field on the product page.

Based on the first scenario you are presenting us with, I recommend doing a Google search with the term "Measurement Price Calculator" (quotation included).

Now, the second scenario, with the t-shirts, is a prime candidate for using the out-of-the-box WooCommerce functionality for creating variable products and setting up their inventory data. Feel free to learn more via the direct link to the documentation here.

I hope that helps, otherwise let us know. We are happy to help!
