Looking for reliable themes with some longevity if possible

Haven’t built a WordPress site for over a year. I still have a couple WP sites up and working, which give me few problems.

Is there a competent rating of WordPress themes. There are some themes that are always head and shoulders above the crowd.

I realize some of the better themes aren’t as tricked out as others. I have alot of sites to admin, so I’m more interested to have working sites than the latest and greatest.

Also, good practice seems to be selecting themes where the developer continues to improve the themes, and is always around the community.
That’s what I have now on my sites and I have no reason to regret using the themes I chose over a year ago.

I will be glad to look at any suggested or recommended themes from other site builders as well.
