Looking for Recent Post Footer Plugin

I am looking for a plugin that feeds the most recent posts into the footer and breaks it down by say 5 posts in each column. I’ve seen this on other sites, but I don’t know what keywords to search for. Footer, sitemap, nothing seems to come up.

Does anybody know what I’m talking about or could you give me a name of a plugin that does that.
