looking for password protected FTP client!

  • I’m just looking for a password protected FTP client that can store all the passwords and usernames to several sites but not allow access to any of them without a master password. That way, if my laptop gets stolen, It’s not a security risk to those sites. Does this exist?

  • Not if someone like me ( just sayin’ ) takes your laptop. But you’re safe from me. I had to take an oath that says I can never use my powers for evil. ??

    My knee jerk reaction is to tell people not to allow most applications to store login credentials. The resistance to this suggestion is usually something along the lines of… “but it’s such a pain to type it in every single time!” Well, yeah, It is. But…

    If you have serious concerns with the possibility of theft or loss, have you considered a full disc encryption software for your laptop that uses a pre-boot authentication method? That way it’s ALL about as safe as it will ever be. – More or less.
