• I’m not sure what the best route to take when looking for beta-testers is, but we’ve done a major overhaul on our MailChimp plugin. We’ve added numerous user requested features and updated many of our functions.

The existing plugin can be found within the repository HERE. One thing you’ll notice when using this version, is it seems very limited in what it can do. You can import MailChimp lists from your account, and then place them anywhere on your site.

    Version 4.0

The newer version, 4.0, has been revamped with many added features including (but not limited too): Segment/Interest Group Support, Custom Submit Button, Custom Success Messages, Redirection on form submission, view subscriber MailChimp profiles, remove subscribers from lists, Single/Double Opt-In options, Subscribe commenters to a mailchimp list, custom input placeholder…and more.

You can download the newer, revamped version 4.0 plugin here. The most recent version lives on GitHub for easy version control.

Click download zip on the right hand side, unzip it and remove the ‘-master’ from the file name and re-zip it then upload it to your site.

You’ll need a mailchimp API key. Also note that this must be on a live site, unless you’ve enable SSL on your localhost installation.

Before pushing this out to the repository, I’d like to get any user feedback that I can, including positives, negatives and any bug reports.

What better place to ask for it then the community that helped get us to where we are?

Thanks everyone, I hope you have a great weekend.

    Evan
