Looking For IDE Suggestion

  • Hopefully, this is the right place for this. If not, I apologize.

    Getting started in developing some plug-ins (probably for GNU licensed distribution) moving from a Joomla environment, and was hoping for some advice on what IDE people recommend. I currently have NetBeans (with the WordPress plug-in) installed and it seems to be working well. I just wasn’t sure if there was something better.

    Just as an FYI, I am doing my development on a local installation to keep it away from my live site, if that makes any difference.
