Looking for help with site structure
-
Hello,
I’m new to wordpress, but I am hoping it can work for a fairly complex site I am trying to create, and I am looking for advice on how to approach it.
The site will be an archive of historic documents from broadway shows for students to study, and I am trying to create groups of pages of images, or preferably posts with coments, with the following generic structure.
Show home page (brief Description about the show) with links to child pages as follows:
Drawings (defaults to show drawing 1)
Drawing 1
Drawing 2
Drawing 3 and more
Supporting paperwork (defaults to show category 1)
Category 1 (defaults to show page 1)
Scanned page 1 (with next and last links)
Scanned page 2
Scanned page 3 and more
Category 2 and more
Scanned page 1
Scanned Page 2
Scanned Page 3 and more
Additional supporting paperwork
Category 3 (defaults to show page 1)
Scanned page 1 (with next and last links)
Scanned page 2
Scanned page 3 and more
Category 4 and more
Scanned page 1
Scanned Page 2
Scanned Page 3 and more
Multimedia
Each project will have similar categories of peperwork, but not every show will have all categories. The hope is to have a site that is easy to administer new content. I’m not sure if categories, and tags will help me or if i am better off looking at a more complex CMS.
