Hello everyone, I am looking for some help to implement the organization schema markup on my website using Yoast SEO.

So, I have been reading a lot of documentation, and I am really confused about how to implement this schema, so I have a few questions, but before, some data about my website and company.

    – We are mostly an affiliate marketing website and most of our content is blog posts

    – We also offer our own products on our website, and we have a couple of pages where we offer services

    – We do not have a local office, we are a 100% online business

Now, a few questions on how to proceed now.

    – Is the organization schema valid for us even though we are not a local organization?

    – How can I implement this schema so it shows as valid using schema validation tools?

    – How can I add extra “organization schema attributes” like sameAs

    Thanks everyone.

    Hello @leandrowebmaster

Thanks for reaching out regarding your site schema. We have addressed your concerns below:

Is the organization schema valid for us even though we are not a local organization?

The Organization Schema type describes an organization (a company, business or institution); it’s most commonly used to identify the publisher of a?WebSite and may be transformed into a more specific type (such as?Corporation?or?LocalBusiness?) if the required conditions are met. Also, it includes its logo, website address, social media profiles, and contact information. It’s used for organizations that people don’t physically visit. On the other hand, the Person Schema type is used to describe a person. It’s often used in relation to defining an author of an article using Author, but it can also be used to describe a person’s role within an organization. So, if yours is a brand, I suggest you use the Organization type.

How can I implement this schema so it shows as valid using schema validation tools?

To implement Schema.org with Yoast SEO, see this help article

How can I add extra “organization schema attributes” like sameAs

The Yoast SEO plugin only supports adding?sameAS schema?for the websites listed under WordPress > Yoast SEO > Social > Accounts. If the URL you want to include is not on the list of the organizations we have now, you’d need to add some custom code to your site. You can find some pointers in our schema API documentation
