Looking for Free eCommerce Plugin that can…

  • Please tell me of what you think I should use if you know any…

    I’m just selling T-shirts.

    I need to be able to add a shirt to the product inventory (t-shirts)and add the sizes available. (ie. 20 Size Large, 100 Size Medium, 100 Size Small, etc.) and have the program keep track of the Inventory available when selling and only sell what’s available. And also to be able to update the existing inventory of any product and able to edit that product. Also keeping track of purchases in a shopping cart and provide checkout via paypal.

    I think that is fairly simple of a program. I don’t need huge load times with a huge massive program I dont think? Thanks!

    Thanks! That seems to be able to do the job. Not sure about Inventory tracking but I guess I won’t know until I install it.

    Oh it says Basic Stock Control, that might be it. Seems to be a very nice app. Thanks again!

    It offers basic stock control – ie if the stock gets down to zero on a given product, the add to cart form is automatically removed. You can then adjust the stock amount manually yourself. The issue you have to watch for with all ecommerce sites & stock is the scenario where here is only 1 item left, A adds it to the cart, checks out and goes to PayPal but decides to eat lunch before actually paying. B then comes along, adds it to the cart, checks out, goes to PayPal pays immediately. A then pays 10 minutes later.

    End result: you have a negative stock situation and two people who have purchased the last item.

    For this reason, we usually advise eShop users – who are using its stock control – to always keep a few items of stock “off the books” to deal with these scenarios.
