• Hi everyone, I’m still using 3.9.2 because I’m loathe to go through the same nightmare I faced upgrading to 3.9.2.

I’m going to be selling cards off my website via fotomoto’s WP plugin set up to activate on certain pages only. I’ve tried a few different gallery plugins, but looking at the larger image view or the slideshow view breaks fotomoto’s functionality, particularly those that use lightboxes or carousel formats.

So I’m wondering what’s out there that can quickly (as I’ll be uploading in batches till I have 2,555 images in total on the site) create nice-looking full-size image presentations in a gallery format.

I’m also looking for a “pic of the day” type plugin that I can configure to change at certain times of the day. I’m hoping to have it change 7 times every single day at the same set times every day.

My efforts to find anything that fits these criteria has been royally failing over the past number of days. Jetpack’s tile mosaic is the most attractive gallery presentation so far, but I can’t edit to allow for spacing around the gallery thumbnails very well, and no “pic of the day” feature I can use. I tried WP Image Gallery Plus (I think it’s called?) and while it has fotomoto integration, the ‘photo of the day’ widget is a sidebar widget only and I can’t configure it for different time slots in a day.

    Help? Ideas?

  • Hi songdove,

Derek from Fotomoto here. My recommendation for a slideshow presentation would be one of the plugins that uses Galleria. Depending on the plugin author’s implementation, Galleria may be configured to meet your needs.

The full-screen requirement may require some custom CSS or using Fotomoto in API mode, because by default Fotomoto will put Buy Buttons below the image, and there needs to be room under the image to display them.

If you’ve got specific question about all this, feel free to email us directly.

Last, if any enterprising gallery developers out there want to partner with us and integrate Fotomoto in their gallery that meets the needs above, it can be done using the instructions in Integrating Fotomoto into an image gallery.

    Thanks and kind regards,
    Derek
