Looking for a welcome page

  • Hi everybody! I’m looking for what I think could be a simple one; I’m triying to put a welcome page in my blog, something with a similar behaviour as a pop-up. The reason to do that is because I need a big menu with buttons to the differents parts of my web and for others subdomains like another languages version in a more clear way.

    Anybody knows how to do this?
    *I’m not speaking about an static page

  • I think what you’re describing is a pop-up landing page. You could build the HTML yourself and then use jQuery to launch it when a user visits the home page, then use a time-limited cookie to limit the display of it if you wanted.

    Or you might try a plugin like WP Super Popup if you’re not comfortable doing the coding and want a WYSIWYG editor for the display.
