Something you might want to look at is Open Source Web Design – they have tons of themes/designs available. While they aren’t WP-ready, it shouldn’t take too much to convert one over, depending on how it’s laid out (many use tables (*shudder*) for layout, and a lot are not W3C standards compliant). I’ve used some of their designs before with great success.
