looking for a Specific Calendar plugin

I currently admin a Parent Teacher Organization website, which is using simple calendar to sync with google calendar. The shortcoming is that if a user clicks on details from my calendar widget they will get taken to google calendar, and if they haven’t added it or aren’t logged into google, they won’t be able to see the details.
So I am looking for something that imports the google calendar on some regular schedule and creates info on the site that can be seen without a google account.
The top restriction is that it has to be free (or have a one time payment for life), as the organization isn’t going to want to pay for it, and while I would just pay for it, I don’t want whoever takes over after me to be handed a financial burden.
Other than that, I don’t need to be able to manage events on the website at all, so only need one way sync.
I have installed and tried several of the most popular calendar plugins, and none that I tried can do this. But there seems to be hundreds. So I am hoping someone might know one that does.
