• Hi everyone,

I have 2 parents categories in my posts :

“locations” which contains cities as subcategories (such as “New York”, “Seattle” etc…)
“audiences” which contains age related classification as subcategories (such as “children”, “teenagers”, “adults” etc…)

I’m looking for a WordPress plugin for my search page with the ability to add 2 independant categories dropdown menus with only seleted options.

That should look like this :
    [Audiences_subcategories_dropdown_menu] [Locations_subcategories_drop_down_menu] [Search_button]

Please note that, as posts have still not been created, I don’t mind to install a plugin that uses custom content

    Thanks for your answers!

    Nico

So there is no actual user search terms, the result is actually a category query? You can call it a search for your users, but in WP terminology it’s not a search unless a user term is involved. Without a search term, what you are actually doing is filtering posts by category. Have you tried searching for category filter plugins?

If there is no luck in such a search, building a custom query page would be a fairly straight forward coding exercise. But if coding PHP is outside of your experience, you’ll need someone to build this for you. If you do not have such a person, you can find experienced WP coders at jobs.wordpress.net or jetpack.pro .
