That’s a single image. An animated GIF file.

What’s happened in your example is that they’ve taken a video, and exported it from whatever video editing software they are using as an animaged GIF. That is really all there is to it.

I realize what that is. I made that myself as a demonstration of what I want to do with two different pictures. I want to be able to split it apart and reveal the inside with an animation.

If you want to emulate that with an image (or two as you’d have it in your example) then you’ll need to look into something with jQuery. There’s a chance that there’s a plugin that could do this, but it’s a pretty specialised action, so the chance is pretty slim. However if anyone else out there knows of anything I hope that they speak up!
