• I’m still in search of a solution that will make finding things on my website easier. I’ve seen tablepress and I already incorporate that but I need something else to make things better.

I have an events listing page and I’m having to do too many steps to get things to show up correctly. I’m editing way too many pages at a time and I need to simplify the process.

Whenever I edit a post for a particular person and add an event to that post, I want that event to then pop up the thumbnail (featured image or whatever you want to call it) of the person. So if Sam is going to be in the WordPress Cinema then when I add that information to Sam’s post its populated somewhere on WordPress Cinema’s post. Get what I’m saying?

Tablepress doesn’t give you the option to dynamically link content and taxonomies aren’t the answer either. Neither are tags, I would have a million different tags if I went at it that way.

On the post for wordpress cinema I could add a shortcode or something which gives me that listing but I still need a means to add all of this in one spot.

I thought about a directory but I can’t find anything that does this to prevent me from editing multiple posts all the time. Whats out there? If I need to clarify this more please let me know.

    Not exactly.

So You have ‘Events’ and you have ‘People/Persons’ if a ‘Person’ becomes and attendee of an ‘Event’ then you want the ‘Person’ to appear on the ‘Event’ page as an attendee and the ‘Event’ to appear on the person page as an ‘Event’ they are going to? Is that what you mean?

Sound like you need an advanced Events plugin? Either that or some custom post types and Advanced Custom fields plugin and build a custom solution.

    What do you suggest?
