• This is a beautiful, very professional looking theme. I’d like to recommend it to my clients, but the lack of documentation is a drawback. I would like to know how the theme selects which posts to display in the News Flash section, and whether there is any way to designate specific posts. I don’t see any settings for that (such as a category), other than the selector for how many posts. It doesn’t seem to have to do with the date of the post, or whether it is sticky, or has an excerpt. The initial selection seems random, yet it shows the same selected posts over and over, which does not seem random. I am baffled!

    Hi syzygist,
the “Flash News” box, in the Free version, shows posts sorted by date (excluding sticky post) and you can only choose the number of posts to display.
In the PRO version provides a few more options for “news flash” box, for example you can filter the posts by category and you can choose the order (date, comment count or random).

    Best Regards,

Thanks for your reply. I see you are right that the posts displaying are in date order. However, the 4th post (of 5) that is displaying is a sticky post. I tried making the first post in the sequence sticky, and it, too, continues to be displayed in Flash News.

May I suggest that you note the additional options for Flash News in your Free vs. Premium comparison? I think that is a feature many people would be looking for.
