Long wait times for purchasing

    I have been noticing that the wait time between hitting the purchase button on the checkout page and getting to the receipt (purchase confirmation) page is taking a long time. In Chrome I used the network insights and consistently see 1-2 huge waiting TTFB times before the page will go from the checkout to the receipt.

    The resources taking these wait times are:

    ?payment-mode=manual
    purchase-confirmation/

    Wait times for each could be 5 or more seconds, making close to 10 seconds of wait time between hitting purchase and getting to the receipt. This is happening to free downloads as well so it shouldn’t be a payment gateway problem.

    I tried making a dummy site with essentially a clone of the store and it loaded snappy as it used to do. I wonder if it is something to do with the database size as my original store has been around for quite a while with lots of downloads accumulated.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks for the site link.

    I have checked with your Free Download and It worked well. I redirected to Receipt page quickly. I think within 3 sec.
