Long Processing Time

To be clear, the plugin is working, but it’s taking 20-25 seconds to process the payment and confirm payment from Stripe. This is causing customer confusion and loss of sales.

So sorry to hear of this problem. It could well be a conflict with a third-party plugin or your theme; if you temporarily disable all plugins except Stripe and WooCommerce core and switch to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen, do you see the time improve when you place a test order?

I am having the same issues which is costing me loss of sales as well. I received this response from Stripes Tech support: After further review of that information with your Stripe account, I was able to see that in those charge attempts, payment tokens are being created, but those tokens aren’t being turned into actual charges. To remedy this, it’s suggested to talk to the support staff at Woo to ensure that those tokens are being turned into charges.Just started having these issues since the release of the most recent plugin Version 3.1.7. I have even tested by placing an order and it took a long time to process the payment which eventually just cancelled out the order like it did to all my other sale orders. This is happening with PayPal as well and their Tech support said that it was not on their end and the issue is with you guys. Could you please look into this situation asap as this is having a terrible impact on my fairly newly open business and costing me loss of sales and income.. Thank you so much in advance!

From your above comment I understand you have tested without these additional plugins, with only Stripe and WooCommerce?

If so, the delay can also be caused by processing the order email. To test, please deactivate the New Order and Order Processing emails under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails, then place a test order.
