long menu

  • Hi I have a long sub menu that does not scroll. Under ‘Village Life’ / Directory. I have tried a couple of posted css fixes that did not work correctly is there an update for the latest twentyseventeen? I have deleted sticky sidebar plugin. Best Nick

    There are 2 options:
    * Reconsider the page architecture of your site to be more user friendly;
    * Remove the sticky-menu behaviour

    Hi Thanks Andrew, I had disabled and deleted the sticky side bar plugin, but the sub menu still does not scroll. I may add some sub menus to ‘make it more user friendly but the list will still be long than the view window. It would also need to do this if the browser was not full screen. Best Nick.

    Making a user scroll to a long submenu can be a bad experience. You can try this as a user yourself. If you have more than 3 or 5 submenu items, i would suggest creating an intermediate page for the parent menu item and have linked sections within that page for the submenu. That’s my suggestion.
