Long Load Time

    Hi,

    I have a question regarding loading time. I recently installed the premium plugin and then ended up deactivating because I felt that it loaded too slowly. Continuing to test load time, etc I am finding that it is quicker to load with the call to google-analytics.com than it is to have stealth mode lite enabled. I am finding that even when my site is pretty much loaded, its taking another 7-800ms to load caos. It’s all about speed these days and I dont understand why wp-json/caos/v1/proxy/collect loads so late and why is it so slow to load for such a small file? Thanks.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    The reason why Stealth Mode is slower, is basically, because it is sending the call to Google Analytics servers through your own server via WordPress API. So the time difference can be explained with the time it takes to load all of the basic elements of the WordPress framework, so WordPress can respond to the call to the super stealth API endpoint.

    But, two but’s actually:

    – It doesn’t really matter that it’s slower, because it’s loaded asynchronously. So it doesn’t affect your visitor’s user experience.
    – But since I like speedy things, just as much as everyone, I looked into another way of implementing it. And I found it. ?? I created a pure PHP instance of Super Stealth, which functions entirely outside of WordPress, which makes it much faster. So, since you purchased Super Stealth, since today, you have a much faster alternative at your disposal. If you haven’t yet, update to the latest version, select the ‘Super Stealth Upgrade’ option in the Plugin Handling setting (under the extensions tab), update analytics.js and you’ll see that’s A LOT faster compared to Stealth Mode Lite.
