Long LCP on product detail pages

Hi guys,

I am struggling with understanding the relatively bad LCP (largest contentful paint) values on product detail pages.

All other pages (even those with 10-20 images) seem to need a third or a fourth of the time from FP to LCP compared to the simple product detail pages, thus resulting in bad LCP of all product pages in google Core Web vitals.

I suspect the product image fade in effect to be one of the reasons but don’t know exactly if that is true, nor how I can disable it (e.g. by CSS).

Any hints how to track this down are very appreciated.
