Logout not log gin users out

I have a front end login plugin (and have tried several and all are having this same issue), and every time the logged in user clicks “logout,” the page reloads as if it is going to log out, but after the reload they are still logged in as if nothing happened. These plugins were working fine until I upgraded to Word Press 4.0. Not sure if that is the issue.
