• Hi I have a private site meaning users have to login to be able to view my content. I want them to only have access to the site for 30 minutes so installed your plugin. in the blurb it says it will logout users even from the front end. in reality this doesn’t happen – only when I’m in the admin area does it log me out. Should it work so users are forced to the register screen even when on the front end? or have I misunderstood?

Also – it’s very quiet on this forum. Is this plugin still being maintained?

  • Ditto.

Played with the config (via a Multisite install) many different ways. It seems that any user (multi-role set or not, Subscriber to Administrator) who is currently visiting the site will never time out. Which is the opposite of what we need the plugin for.

Otherwise seems like a pretty capable plugin. Hope the author(s) are still active and have the time to fix this issue or add it as a feature. (I’m too rusty with programming and still too unfamiliar with the many layers of WP to try to tweak it myself.)

Well technically, users of any role should logout in frontend and backend if defined. On my tests it seems to be working – However, in my installation there isn’t alot of plugins and themes. So, that might be one factor to this.

Is this for multisite in your case or both ?

Yes, Multisite install, custom theme, lots of plugins.

Of the plugins, the most likely to conflict may be Advanced Access Manager, since it also deals with user/role access control? I’m using it to hide all config/profile panels for Subscribers, forcing them to stay in the frontend.

With Multisite, it took a little fiddling around to figure out which Admin login had the right view and permissions for multirole config. But what I’m looking for, ideally, is auto-logout for any Subscriber, no auto-logout for any Administrator.
