• Hi I am having trouble with our site regarding logon when you try to logon you get the box “accept cookies” when you logon the second time everything works ok.
We are using 2012 theme and WordPress 4.2.2
I have read quite a lot about this problem but being a newcomer to web building I do not want to mess anything up, has there been a definitive fix to rectify this please? If so could someone explain how to apply it?

    Thanks

Are you using any sort of privacy software on your PC? Antivirus? Some of these block cookies and such.

Additionally, I would wonder how your browser is setup to handle cookies? What browser/version are you using to access/log in to your site? AND, have you tried using a different browser and, if so, were you able to reproduce the same issue?

Hi this happens on all browsers and not only to me all our 38 members have the same issue the first login is refused giving the cookie warning the second login is accepted

Oh wow, okay, what is the exact message you’re getting? That is, I have been Googling around and found some older WordPress support threads that talked about folks trying to log in to their site and getting an error message stating, “Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.” But, that doesn’t sound quite like you accept cookies writeup. So, it would be handy to know exactly what message you’re getting. Thanks in advance.

Moreover, another thing you can do is to deactivate all your plugins at once as well as switch back to the Twenty Fifteen (default) theme and see if you can reproduce the issue. Then, activate one plugin and try to reproduce the issue. And keep doing this for each plugin until you find the plugin(s) that is/are causing the issue.

On the other hand, if you deactivate all the plugins and switch the theme back to Twenty Fifteen and can still reproduce the issue then you might consider reinstalling WordPress itself. And if that doesn’t help — meaning after the reinstall with no active plugins and running the Twenty Fifteen theme you can still reproduce the issue — then I think it would be time to call your hosting provider and let them know what’s going on if you haven’t done so already.
