    Hi,
    Thank you for the plugin.
    I would have 2 questions:
    1) Does you plugin resolve the problem of the logo linking to the respective language home page, not to the main language home page?
    2) When I use the switcher, the style jumps on the load from a default vertical list (with bullets and a default browser font) to the style I chose thanks to your plugin – it looks weird. Is it normal?
I can’t show you the website because it’s still on my computer.
    Many thanks!
    Best,
    Edyta

    Thank you for your feedback!

    1) logo:
This is currently not possible if you mean the “Site Logo” widget from “Elementor Pro”. This widget is just static, it has nothing to do with languages at all. Also, it has no filter or anything.

This behavior was not a focus of our first version, where we concentrated on the templates working first. But since we get some feedback from users we clearly see this is a needed thing.

So we are planning on our own “Site Logo” widget but with auto detection of the proper language via Polylang. This might release in the next major version 1.1.0 sometime in January or February then.

Until then you can just try to use Elementor’s image widget, use your logo as image and set the proper language URL for the site manually as URL.

    2) switcher:
I am sorry but I cannot fully understand/imagine how it appears at your site. Would you be able to share a screenshot via some cloud service or similar?

    Thanks, Dave

    Hello

    Sorry for the late reply.

firstly: if Polylang is setup to detect languages, then the user will come onto the site on their own language. If they click on the logo then they will be returned to the homepage in the language that they are in. If they change the language then click on the logo, they will be returned to the home page of the language that they are in.

for the 2nd part of your query, if you built your initial language page to perfection, then created your alternative language page by clicking the plus button, all the styling and setup and everything will be copied across. SO your 2nd language page will look identical to your 1st language page.

BUT: If you created 2 pages; edited the 1st lang page, you would need to go and manually edit the 2nd lang page. This is a Polylang process. (I believe in the paid version of Polylang those changes can be synchronised – but I am not sure).

I hope this answers your questions and helps you.
