Logo image in custom header is not shown in IE8

    The logo picture in the custom header is not shown in IE8. Because quite many users still use Window XP, this is still current.

    I tried the solution which did not help.
    #logo img { width: auto; }

    THis looks quite ugly because the header is quite big … with only a nav bar in it. The rest is empty.

    Please help.
