• I updated the Make theme this afternoon. With the update, the logo that has been uploaded and specified no longer loads as part of the header section. I’m confused.

I have a child theme in place and am using a header-layout.php replacement file in order to customize display the text portion of the logo as text… which is displaying… but I no longer see the logo (to the left). I have not changed anything with respect to the function that is called to display the logo, and I have tried disabling the header file in the child theme to see if it fixes the problem, but it does not. I have also cleared the logo files and attempted to re-add them. Still nothing.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • I’ve just updated my Make install (Make Plus on Multisite) and I’m experiencing the same issue with no logo.

Is it advisable to try the patch? And if so…

    1. Do I just need to apply this to the parent or the child theme too?

    2. Do I need to delete / re-upload / rename my logos – or should the patch fix things without these steps?

Curious about the same things, James. Not sure if I’m supposed to just wait for the actual upgrade in WP or try this workaround.

An updated version of Make with the patch included will be submitted today, but the approval process takes a variable amount of time, so it could be a couple of days before the update appears in the theme directory. If you don’t want to wait, you can apply the patch to the parent theme by simply replacing the helpers-logo.php file with the version linked to above.

Afterward, if you still aren’t seeing your logo, you can try re-uploading the file.
