• Hi,

In our website we hide the prices and “add to cart” button to non-users. when someone registers they are forwarded into their account area and they can see the prices. if they log out then the plugin prevents them to log back in before admin approves them.

The entire purpose of this plugin is to not let user log in to their account without approving, but they log in right when they register.

Can you keep the user in the same page with a note like: “you will receive an email regarding the status of your email” and keep them loged out?

I noticed that someone just before this topic was asking about not approving so an email goes to them explaining that they are not approved.

So having pending status will be great. in that case an “unapproved” email can be generated.

    thank you.

    Hi @hpwebacc!

It sounds like the site might use a custom registration flow where it automatically logs users in? Something outside of /wp-login.php?action=register?

This plugin expects registration to work like they do in core, where users have to log in after they register.

This is the case for me too. I’m using Restrict Content Pro. This plugin is the suggested one to approve users that register using the RCP plugin. This plugin used to work when we started using it but it stopped working recently. I know this is not an issue with this plugin exactly but maybe it is?

How this worked before is that users register using the form with the shortcode [register_form] from Restrict Content Pro, after the user registered, it was not approved by default. I understand this was made using WP Approve User. After approving, the user was able to login.
