There have been several users the last couple of days, complaining about not being able to see the full content after they have joined and logged in.

A couple even after clearing cache, and switching browsers they were still unable to view the full content. I have cleared the server cache, the website cache, and cloudflares DNS cache.

Can you advice on what to do next, or what the issue might be?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

based on the header you have provided , at this point , I can only say the LiteSpeed Cache is not caching the page , but without a way to reproduce the issue , it will be hard to work it out.

It is very hard to reproduce and figure out. the only thing i can say is clear your cache, change your browser, change your device and if none of that works i ask them to reset their router.

I’ve even made it so that cloudflare no longer caches those pages, because i dont want that or one of their edge locations to cache the page and not server the dynamic part to the customer.

    Any advice?

if you clean browser cache , clean server cache , logically , I will expect normal cache is NOT in place anymore

does it happen to certain specific users repeatedly ? it is possible that some router may serve as a proxy cache server , it’s rare ,but I have seen it before , specially for big LAN infrastructure like an Internet bar or something

but no , I have no more idea , from my knowledge and understanding for our plugin , object cache is one possible culprit , and hence you have exclude the /video/ page with x-litespeed-cache-control: no-cache header present , I can firmly say the LiteSpeed cache plugin is NO longer caching your page.

what do you mean by this? object cache is one possible culprit. just so i understand what you mean

sometimes object cache will cache some object , and that may not be updated in time , so give you some kind of “out of sync” situation , but if you have it disabled , then it’s not related here anymore.

this current user i am talking with recently had it happen before but clearing the cache helped last time. I asked them to clear their router to see if that helps I am waiting on a response from them still. my router has served as a proxy cache server before so i know it happens. I did see something online saying that internet companies have also had an issue where they’ll cache sites but i can’t even find the article again so im now confused if thats even possible.

I’m waiting on them to reply and let me know if it worked or not, if it didnt i will be logging in through their account to see if i have the same issue.

yeah , that is technically possible …

Hey, is it possible for it to not switch even though the x-litespeed says no-cache? I am just verifying that litespeed cant be the issue so i can move on from it.

I am not sure what do you mean , by if header says x-litespeed-cache-control: no-cache , then it is not cached by LScache.

could these being disabled cause the problem?

    Memcached Extension: Disabled
    Redis Extension: Disabled

no , enabled could cause problem in some case, but disable will not

    Thread Starter abbxxx

    (@abbxxx)

Ok, so then its probably better to leave it disabled?

I am using PHP version 8.1 that shouldn’t cause a problem with the caching correct?

yes, better to keep it disabled until you figured out what caused the issue , php81 is good
