• Just started using wordpress since last week and now I am unable to login to my wordpress dashboard since morning. I activated a theme last night and installed some plugins associated with it after that it was acting a little weird.

I am getting the following message whenever I try to login.
Error: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output. For help, please see this documentation or try the support forums.

I have deleted all the browsing history, caches and cookies but still the problem persists, in one of the topics it was mentioned that some plugins interfere with the login and we need to uninstall/disable them. But how can I do that when I am unable to login to my dashboard?

    Would appreciate prompt support here.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Thanks.
