    Hi all!

I’m new to UM as well as WP, tried looking up the answer before writing here but no luck.

So, my problem is that when I’m logged in as admin on my WP page and add the shortcode for the login form and reload I see my WP-admin profile. The login for to UM never shows, so I have to log out as admin to see it. But when I do that and reload to log in as admin again I’m not able to reach the admin area as UM “takes control” over this. The UM log in now shows, but since I don’t have created an account I’m not able to log in. I have to rename the UMfolder in plugin folder and reload again, now that the plug in isn’t found I can once again login in to view my admin area.

Surely there must be some way around this? I looked over the settings but I can’t find anything that suggests a fix to this, please help!

Also, just after I installed the plug this appears –> “One or more of your Ultimate Member pages are not correctly setup. Please visit Ultimate Member > Settings to re-assign your missing pages.”

    What’s this about?

I appreciate any help I get can! The page only exits locally and the time, but I can provide print screens if it helps.

    Thanks!

    Hi @evenstevenswe,

Please go to the Ultimate member -> Settings -> Setup and make sure you’ve correctly assigned your pages e.g. login page. Go to your Login page and check whether you have a login form shortcode there you can find this shortcode in Ultimate member -> Forms and your login form.

    Regards.

Thanks for you reply! However, this doesn’t solve my issue.

I’ll try to explain again, the page I’m building is only stored locally at the moment. I have made a startpage outside of WordPress and that’s where I want to have my login form. I’ve added the shortcode and so far so good.

But, when the plugin is active I cannot login to the admin panel. I get redirected and the login that shows is for the UM members, it somehow replaces the wordpress admin login. To get around this I have no choice but to rename the folder so the plugin won’t start. When I’m logged in, I rename the folder again and reload so that I can work with the plugin.

Now, I’m fairly new to WordPress and of course It’s something that I do wrong, but what? I really can’t figure this out.

Surely there must be a way to have the plugin active and still be able to login to the admin area right?

    Hi @evenstevenswe,

Ultimate member hides wp-admin for not logged in users for security reasons, in order to login to the WP dashboard you have to login with admin credentials(using login page) and then go to the /wp-admin page. You can disable this feature in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Access and turn ON – Allow Backend Login Screen for Guests.

    Regards.
