• I upgraded to the latest Autoptimize beta. Users are getting a nonce error when they try to log in. I rolled back to the stable version and am not having the same problem.

Interesting as there are no significant changes in autoptimizeScripts.php .. Any error on the browser console? What is the exact error you (or your users) saw?

Can’t attach a screenshot, but they get the error message ‘Invalid Nonce’ with no other information. I did a rollback because we have an event today, but I’ll re-install the beta tonight, check the console, and post if anything pops up.

I also added the new Cloudflare plugin over the weekend – about the same time as I updated – so I could have an issue with plugin conflicts or settings.

well, nonce’s are typically added as inline JS and are left be by AO (it automatically excludes inline JS with nonce in it), so if you’re using the new (and exciting) Cloudflare page caching functionality which would cache nonce in the cached HTML, then yes the chances are very big that is the reason rather then AO.

Thanks for the feedback – I’ll report it to cloudflare as well. The new Cloudflare plugin is proving to be a little more exciting than I bargained for! XD

Quick update on this – I removed the Cloudflare plugin since it was causing a number of problems on the site. I hope Cloudflare can resolve them, since I would love to use it.

    Thanks!

check if you can define a “cache expiry” in Cloudflare and if so set it to 8h or even just 4h, that should fix (most/ all) nonce issues?
